Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in military service for the country. it began after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war. Now it honors all Americans who have died while serving in the U.S. military. We should use this time to also remember all our troops who are serving in active duty and who have served in the past.
